People reach for a web opener at their most locked-down moment, holding their most consequential archives — client handovers, records bundles, legal deliveries. The workshop note on unnoticed uploads walks through the industry pattern; this page is where I state the answer here.
Your file's route: file picker → this tab's memory → the decompressor → your downloads folder (or a folder you explicitly grant, via the browser's permission dialog, once per session). Static hosting means no upload endpoint exists to receive anything — deletion policies are promises, a missing endpoint is a fact. Airplane mode is the one-switch audit, and the page passes it.
What gets counted: zero analytics, zero ad scripts, zero cookies of this site's making, zero accounts. Two typefaces load from Google Fonts and cache after the first visit. Cloudflare reports a bare visitor tally. Which archives you opened, and what sat inside them, is information that never existed anywhere but your own machine.
